We, Zone 1, are seeking individuals, parents, guardians, older siblings, neighbours, etc. to join us. We are offering you one of the most rewarding volunteer positions we have!

What is it you ask?

To become one of our fantastic, phenomenal, stupendous, and amazing COACHES!

• Every team that we make, from U5 to U17, will require 2-4 coaches plus a manager for the juniors.

• ​This means we will need well over 80+ coaches and managers to run a successful season for your player.

• We think YOU will be an extrodinary mentor!​

Did you know that the Zone will reimburse you the cost of your training to become a coach? 

• Keep your receipts and send our treasurer a copy of them so you can be reimbursed once you have shown successful completion of the training.

Let's get the party (training) started!

Here are the details I have for you:

STEP 1: Get your Respect in Sport!

• ALL COACHES and MANAGERS are required to have this completed before our practices start (mid March). You can access it HERE.

STEP 2: Choose Your Pathway

1.  You will need to take the Community Pathway if you want to go to the following provincials:

Female Categories:

*** U11 Girls Open
U13 Head Coaches
U15 B Head Coaches
U17 B Head Coaches

2.  You will need to take the Competition Introduction Pathway if you want to go to the following provincials:

Female Categories:

*** U15 AA - Head & Assistant Coaches
U15 AW - Head Coaches
*** U17 AA Head & Assistant Coaches
U17 AW - Head Coaches

STEP 3: Foundations of Coaching Softball (FOCS)

1.  FOCS- Part 1 is required for Head Coaches (with the exception of U11) for the following Provincials:

Female Categories:

U 13 - Head Coaches 
U15 B - Head Coaches
U17 B - Head Coaches

2.  FOCS- Part 1 AND Part 2 are required for the following provincials:

Female Categories:

U15 AA - Head & Assistant Coaches
U15 AW - Head Coaches
U17 AA - Head & Assistant Coaches
U17 AW - Head Coaches

In order to obtain your FOCS - Part 1 and/or 2 you must go HERE. Then proceed as follows:

1. Login to your account OR create an account if you do not have one.

2. Choose e-learning

3. Multi-sport tab - Softball

4. Choose whichever FOCS you need.

​STEP 4: Making Ethical Decisions (MED)

• You can access class dates and times HERE.

• There are many dates available before MARCH and APRIL so not to conflict with the NEXT modules dates and times.​

STEP 5: Modules & Clinics

• These fill QUICKLY so register TODAY!
• You can register for the following clinics through your RAMP account HERE.

​IMPORTANT NOTES:

Notes on registration Community Pathway:

• $25 for the in-person clinic
• $40 for the mandatory manual provided to you at the in-person clinic
• Please have your prerequisites done before you take this module.
• Clinics may be cancelled due to lack of registrations or withdrawals

• $10 per module
• $50 for the in-person clinic
• $65 for the mandatory manual provided to you at the in-person clinic
• Please have your prerequisites done before you take these modules.
• Each module has 3 options for what date you would like to take it.
• We would prefer that you taken them in chronological order (1,2 and then 3)
• These modules are mandatory before you can take the in-person clinic
• After the deadline for the clinic has ended you will be sent a detailed email with a zoom link.
